A vigorous annual vine. Young fruits are used as squash substitute, mature fruits are dried and used as a bathroom sponge.
Sow in spring.
Suitable for temperate, subtropical and tropical areas. [from Greenharvest.com.au]

Different from ANGLED LUFFA (Luffa acutangula) syn. Okra Vine, Okra Cee Gwa

On Saturday morning there was a good turnout for a workshop at Murray Griffiths' place on the use of Dolichos lablab (aka Lablab Bean, Hyacinth Bean or Poor Man's Bean) as a green manure crop and other organic farming techniques.

Murray Griffiths is the man behind Mr. Organics - who supplies organic fruit, vegetables and other oganic goods out of his premises on MacDougall St.

Linda has started to create content and have it up loaded to the Web site, many thanks to her. If you would like to do the same for the moment send the detail and pictures (600x480 in size)
